Cook & Associates Engineering Inc. was founded by Justin Cook, P.E., CFM, in 2003 with plans to be a full service civil engineering firm which could provide all functions of civil engineering necessary to develop a successful project with minimal delays. With over 20 years experience in the heavy construction industry and over 8 years experience in public sector engineering, Justin experienced several instances when coordination between the engineer, surveyor, geotechnical engineer and the contractors, caused delays, and cost overruns.
Justin’s plan included an in house survey department with state of the art equipment, a group of engineers well versed in all aspects of civil engineering, including a geotechnical division with support of a testing lab. The plan also included a connection to a construction company to provide design build services. Our concept sets us apart from our competition, as they must outsource what we provide in house, and therefore have difficulty maintaining the quality control required to complete projects on time and under budget
